CALZATURIFICIO 5BI launches BICAP eco, a line of ecological safety shoes, designed for all those who want to be Eco-friendly in the workplace.

BICAP eco represents a daily challenge: to bring together respect for the environment with the high quality and safety standards that have always to mark the corporate philosophy. Thanks to the effort of our R&D department, it has been possible to create footwear with optimal levels of recycled, through the use of TexPet fabrics.

All of this is naturally assembled in an eco-compatible production process that does not use polluting solvents and uses solar energy for its operation.

Plastic bottles are made with polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a thermoplastic resin suitable for food use.

Post-consumer plastic bottles, after being collected and selected at recycling facilities, are washed and shredded into chips.

These chips are melted and formed into granules.

Spinning can start.The plastic granules are melted and extruded into yarn.

The yarn is woven into fabric.
